BDFx Bourg Document Finisher
Fast and flexible, it can be linked to virtually any digital printer.

C.P. Bourg’s online products are compatible with the Xerox range including Docutech, Docucolor, Nuvera and iGen machines, and many of the more popular Océ and Ricoh macines. One of the most popular finishing add-ons is the BDFx Bourg Document Finisher which is an automated finishing system capable of performing stitching, folding and trimming in one compact system, and produces booklets at an online rate which matches the press it is used with (4,000 per hour maximum). The BDFx will also produce top or corner-stitched documents.

It is possible to enhance the BDFx machine with a ‘Squareback’ option which produces a square-spined document with the appearance of being perfect bound. This offers a higher quality finish, with the added advantage of neater stacking. The Squareback unit wheels into position and attaches to the BDFx.

It requires absolutely no tools for changeover in sheet size or application.

It is key-pad controlled. The BDFx also has complete paper path sensing system ensuring that document production is monitored throughout each step of the process.

The BDFx is capable of top or corner stitching, from 2 sheets to 55 sheets of 80 gsm (22 sheets if folded); and can produce saddle stitched documents of up to 88 pages in thickness at an amazing production rate when combined with a Xerox 288 ppm printer.

The BDFx can accomodate both coated and uncoated stock with ease.

The Bourg Document Finisher truly enables ‘’push button’’ document production for stitching or signature document applications.

• Stitching: performed by 2, 3 or 4 (factory set) automatically adjustable stitching heads with active clinchers. Stitching wire provided in toolless customer replaceable selfthreading cassettes.
• Folding: Double pair of rollers and downward fold movement for a tighter and more accurate fold.
• Trimming: Face trim with two blades (Max 10 mm or 3/8" wide cut).
