Hickling and Squires invest in CCM Premier Guillotine
Midlands-based print solutions company Hickling & Squires have installed a new, state-of-the-art CCM Premier guillotine to their production process, which features the latest touch-screen technology for increased control. The CCM Premier Plus, supplied by Terry Cooper Services, signifies the next generation of finishing equipment for the company.
Richard Wells, MD for Hickling & Squires, first heard about the products and the touch screen feature through an article in the trade press and from there booked a full demonstration at TCS' showroom in Nottingham. Wells attended the demonstration with two operators and were extremely impressed with the product.
Hickling & Squires are a leading commercial printing company that offers a total print solution for its clients. Services include design consultancy, logistical support and product management to their national client base, which include major retail names, sporting organisations and education establishments.
Wells says: "As we experienced an increase in the volume of orders, our decision to buy was based upon a product that would keep up with the digital and litho print production process. The CCM Premier Plus is also versatile and extremely accurate and meets the challenges some our jobs create. The investment also means we can meet client commitments with more confidence."
Advanced technology means the 15" touch screen features clear and intuitive on-screen prompts making it more interactive, fast and easy to use. Another great enhancement to the system is a USB interface allowing networking from the guillotine system to either the office or other guillotines. Although restyled to improve ergonomics, the CCM Premier Plus range still consists of the solid cast frame front and back for robustness and longer machine life and optional flow-line and paper-handling systems that can increase production time up to 30%.
