Earl's Court, London 14,15 and 16 October 2008
Stand number: 321
The TCS stand at Total Print 08 features some of the company’s most successful products, alongside machines being shown for the first time at a UK exhibition.
* Line up change – the following machine has been added *
TCS will show one of its highly successful CCM Premier guillotines. For the first time at a UK show visitors can see the new CCM Premier Plus variant. The CCM Premier Plus includes central lubrication, which means wear-free bearings and longer intervals between servicing, large air side tables for easier paper handling, auto knife function for repeat cutting, and a larger diameter backguage spindle for faster backguage action. As well as a recent restyling to improve ergonomics, the CCM Premier Plus range features a deep clamp opening which accepts more paper to reduce overall cutting time, and infra red slimline light barriers. Safety is also enhanced via the use of an optical cutting safety line.
At Total Print! Expo TCS will show the CCM Premier Plus 78 version. It is available with three levels of programmability to suit work profile and budget - known as M5, M8 and M10. The model at the show will have the M8 system.
The CCM Premier is now available with a range of paper handling equipment for improved workflow, details of which will be available on stand.
TCS will show two new Challenge guillotines from the Titan range, which bring big guillotine technology to smaller formats, including a high level of programmability, job memory, light beam guarding and more. The Titan range is very compact and ideal for use where space is at a premium. The versions being shown are the recently restyled Titan 200 and brand new Titan 230.
Though not a new product, the The C.P.Bourg BB3002 is always a centre of attention at UK trade shows. It is a leader in its class and one of the world’s most successful single clamp perfect binders. The BB3002 has a wealth of features including inline cover creasing, side gluing, touch screen control and total automation of all processes with completely tool-free operation.
It processes books up to 60 mm thick with a productivity of up to 600 cycles/hour. The BB3002 offers a short run high quality option to all printers and finishers, but has proven popular among digital printers by virtue of its ability to economically produce runs as low as one copy.
TCS will also show the Challenge Medalist 870, a mobile A3 two-plate folding machine capable of folding 30,000 A4 sheets per hour. This is a compact and mobile two-plate folder designed to do simple everyday folding tasks with the optimum efficiency. It is suction fed, with a combination of rubber and steel rollers, and a heavy construction makes for high durability and lifespan.
A flip-up swing deflector enables bypassing of the fold plate, and the feed table swings up for easy access to the lower fold plate. The control panel has a built in total counter and is accessible from either side.
Also on show is the M17 multiple head stitcher from DeLuxe.

NEW TCS AGENCY BRINGS PAPER HANDLING SUITE TO CCM PREMIER RANGE

TCS is pleased to announce it has been appointed UK agents for a range of Korean-built paper handling equipment. The deal was agreed at Drupa and finalised this week. The products include a stack lift, jogger and unloader which will be re-badged as part of TCS’s own Premier brand, as TCS MD Chris Cooper explains.
“Although each product will be sold as a standalone machine, we see a high proportion of sales being to buyers of our top selling guillotine, the CCM Premier,” he says. “The productivity advantages of installing a guillotine with a full paper handling line are great. The new machines are highly compatible with the CCM Premier, so now we can offer not just a guillotine but a complete system. It makes sense to present them as part of the Premier family.”
He continues, “These are very well engineered machines, if we had any doubts we certainly wouldn’t be taking them on, let alone putting our own logo on them! They are also attractively priced and offer excellent value. We believe this move adds greater range and flexibility to our product portfolio while maintaining our reputation as one of the UK’s foremost suppliers of quality finishing equipment.”
TCS had a busy Drupa and will soon be announcing further additions to its product line-up as a result of the show.
