Bourg Sheet Feeder-Bleed Crease Module-Bourg Document Finisher

The BSF is the first true 'near-line' sheet feeder that automatically transfers paper from different manufacturers' printers and stack carts while maintaining integrity of collated sets for production finishing.

By automatically transferring print output from different manufacturers stack carts in to the sheet feeder, making it easy to centre the stack, the BSF enables users in an on-demand print environment to reap the productivity benefits offered by 'near-line' volume finishing.

The Near-Line finisher combines the BSF with the proven BDF booklet maker. The BDF user interface controls the whole configuration.

The BCMe is designed to provide print professionals with the extra cutting edge they require, giving a 3-knife feel to the finished booklets. The BCM makes a crease down the centre of each sheet, or just the cover, and presses the spine to prevent toner cracking or marking prior to BDF or BME stitching, folding and face trimming.

This unique module can be installed behind the BSF with optional conveyor and/ or in front of the 'next generation' BME booklet maker. By combining these modules you can instantly add full-bleed production and creased covers to stitch fold booklet making on a digital or offset printing line-up.

The BDF is a compact booklet maker that combines 3 functions in one self-contained module:

Unique in design, this module offers fully automatic set-ups, such as document size, stitching heads adjustment, spacing of the folding rollers and adjustment of the trimmer.

The BDF is provided with a selection of booklet modes: top/edge/corner and saddle-stitched sets.

Equipped with large suction belts, the paper feed device is able to reliably feed a very broad range of printed media. It also is capable of handling stacks that are not perfectly flat.

In case of miss feed, the feeder is trying again to feed the sheet. In case of double feed, feeding process is stopped to avoid stitching corrupt sets. Double feed detection is using ultrasonic sensors, that do not require calibration.

System configuration (accessories connected) and parameters setup allow operator to define system behavior in case of double feed (eject corrupt set with or without stop, continue,...) BSF feeder is supplied with OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sensors to check for job integrity.

BSF feeder can be delivered, as an option, with BCR (Bar Code Readers) to check for job integrity or other purposes.
